Uh, she was reading a magazine and petting Einstein.

( y'know, his cat. then they argued about how it wasn't his cat but was, and it was cute and fun. and he felt this spark that he couldn't deny. he slips his fingers into his hair. )

I think she kinda recognized me after we talked for awhile. When I gave my name, she obviously thought I wasn't actually him. I'm younger than- than her Peter and look different. ( and that's where it gets complicated, doesn't it? because he's not her peter, but he is a peter, and- huffs. it makes his brain hurt to try to compare himself to someone he's never even met. )

[ Billy nods because he knows, he didn't recognize Peter until he said his name either. ] How much younger? [ Because at his time Peter Parker was well into his late twenties??, and well if Mary Jane was too that would be awkward. ]

She said Peter-- her Peter was in college so maybe a year or two. ( It's thankfully not that level of awkward, ahem, and Mary Jane is also like eighteen so she was younger than her own Peter. Now they're more around the same age. )

[ That's good. Time shenanigans can be weird.

It occurs to him that she might be who Teddy mentioned arriving with. The timing matched up anyway. ] Did she say if she arrived with anyone?

Yeah. She said she showed up in some Murder Caves with a guy who turns green?

( It took Peter a little while to realize the 'murder caves' was the same place that he's met Dipper at to talk stuff out together. )

...Murder caves? [ wait what? He's almost too distracted by that to notice what else Peter says- 'a guy who turns green'. ]

Ok yeah. That's Teddy. [ He pauses because he doesn't remember if he's ever actually told Peter Teddy's name. ]

As in my boyfriend...ex boyfriend? It's confusing.

( Peter's mouth opens and then closes as he processes what Billy says, because he doesn't ever remember Billy mentioning the name before. No. His dark eyes shift into concern then. He'd been hoping to talk to Billy to help get some perspective, and it sounds like Billy maybe really needed someone to talk to too about things. )

That does sound confusing and also complicated.

Is it good that he's here? Maybe... that's a weird question.

You don't even know how complicated. [ Because he never told Peter what happened- he never told anyone until Elena. ] a lot happened last time he was here. Plus this place decided to pull him in from a point where we weren't together so. Thanks Wonderland for that.

It's...I haven't decided yet if it's good. [ Shrug. Time would tell. ]

...a lot of really bad shit happened when he was here before. ( peter can fill in the blanks even without having the details, and the worry intensifies. if it happened before, could it happen again? he's going to have to keep an eye out on teddy to make sure he doesn't hurt billy again. )

Yeah, that sounds like a terrible move on Wonderland's part. I think you're allowed the time to figure out if it's good or not. Don't rush yourself, okay? Or do anything you don't want to do.

Yeah...[ He doesn't want to go into it but...he blows out a breath. ] He wasn't who I thought it was. I don't know if that means I didn't know the person who was my best friend for four years or if he was actually from an alternate universe and not my Teddy at all. [ But he's willing to give Teddy another chance. For now. ]

[ He gives Peter a slight smile. ] Yeah, im not. It's just...strange. Like every part of me is just saying to be with him because I missed him but when I stop and think about it it terrifies me. He used to be the easiest choice I ever made.

Sorry, that's probably really lame to say. [ Billy is not used to actually spilling his guts but he can't seem to not want to talk about this. Probably because he was so confused. ]

( peter grimaces apologetically, because even without the details, he can tell. it was hard and painful. it made billy question something- someone who was so important to him. and he can't help but be angry at wonderland for it- angry at the teddy who was here before. )

No. It's not lame at all. It's sweet and real, and that's- It's how it should be. But you don't want to rush into anything if it also terrifies you, and why wouldn't it after what happened before?

( it makes sense. billy has every right to be scared. )

If this Teddy is like the one you knew from your own world, the easiest choice you ever made one? He'll understand. He'll be patient. Love's patient. ( that's what his aunt's always said. love's patient. )

[ It's good sound advice and not for the first time he finds himself silently thanking something for the fact that Peter is his friend. ] I know. And he said he would wait, and we could take things slow- I think he also needs the time.

I'm just worried I'm making the wrong decision again, and it's all going to go to hell again and I don't think I can- I don't think I can handle it if history repeats itself. [ Because that would probably break him. ]

You're not making the wrong decision.

You go in slow like you're saying. You set out boundaries. You make sure you feel comfortable, okay? Then history won't repeat itself. ( It can't, because Billy will feel the differences. He'll be able to trust in himself again, in his own hear to know the difference.

He wants that for his friend. )

[ He nods, because it makes sense. Peter makes sense. He just hopes he's right. ] Im trying. And he's being very respectful of it, so that's good to.

[ He shifts the subject, just slightly because too many emotions. ]

I'll have to introduce you two, he's a bit of a fan. [ He shoot Peter an amused smirk. ]
